lizzie mcguire = good times.

spanish proyecto ("project") = making progress (2.5 pages...that's half!)

kaffir boy = bout 100 more pages to go...(getting ready to work on that in a sec)
the pops concert thursday night was great. funnest concert ever at erskine. my solo went well. (i sang "on my own" from les miserables...sung by eponine in the musical. if i were to play any musical character, it'd be her cause she rocks.) anyhoo, afterward, luke and i saw holes, with shia from the disney channel. really good movie. last night we rented almost famous, one of my favorite movies of all time.

today, i've gotta get on the ball again with my spanish paper. i figure i'll probably (hopefully) be able to finish it today. and i've gotta finish reading kaffir boy for world civ, which is also on the docket for hoy ("today"...every now and then i'll throw in a spanish word in my blogs so all of my blog fans will soon be bilingual. what a great scheme.) this afternoon, i have a date with the girls to see the lizzie mcguire movie in greenwood. oh, i can't wait. then, it's back here to do some more work.

well, kids, that's about all i got for now. i'll hit you up later.

boo. it's raining. hopefully it'll stop so the loft beds won't get wet on the way home. my parents are getting here sometime between 6 and 6:30 to load them up. the pops concert is at 7:30 in memorial. so be there, or you're not my friend. or you'll have to make it up to me.

not much to speak of. i've been doing a lot of work today. making a lot of good progress on my spanish project. i'm right on schedule. and i finished my work for tomorrow, so that pressure's off. tomorrow is friday, which is nice.

you were wrong when you said everything's gonna be alright...

you were right when you said all that glitters isn't gold
you were right when you said all we are is dust in the wind
you were right when you said we're all just bricks in the wall
and when you said manic depression's a frustrated mess

you were wrong when you said everything's gonna be alright...

you were right when you said you cant always get what you want
you were right when you said it's a hard rain's gonna fall
you were right when you said were still running against the wind
life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone
you were right when you said this is the end

Do you ever think about it?

- bulit to spill "you were right"
and i got a B on my history exam!
i'm just sitting here, looking out the window, thinking about laying out, and listening to built to spill. and i'm thinking about how much i like built to spill. that'd be a new addition to the "bands i like" list. i also recently discovered how much i like cursive and hey mercedes. i've had the hey mercedes cd for about a year now, and i've always liked it. but, while i was driving to atlanta, i realized just how much i like it. i also like bright eyes quite a bit and i need to buy a hot, hot heat cd because i really like their song "no, not now", among others. and i'm currently obsessed with my new rosebud cd. i play something corparate's "konstantine" whenever i get the chance, and i could probably listen to it over and over again, along with feeling left out's "unspoken word".

last night i went to atlanta. i eventually found out that luke's flight arrived at 9:45. so i left erskine at 6:30 so i would have plenty of time. i was really confused when i got to the airport, but i eventually ended up in the atrium between the north and south terminals. i decided that was a pretty good place to wait. i called luke's parents, so they knew i was there. at 10pm, i decided to walk up and down the baggage claims on the north side, and, fortunately, i found luke and his parents quickly.

i ended up staying with the luke and his parents last night. they had a hotel for the night and got an extra cot. so, i didn't have to drive back at 1am. it was a good trip. i've never driven to atlanta by myself. so, that was fun times. road trip on my own. i listened to a lot of good music, starting with third day and ending with the beatles.

i think i'm going to do some work and then head to bed.
