it's so nice to come home! (especially when your parents spend $200 on you...) we just got back from the backpacker in columbia. i'd never been there...it's an awesome store. i wish i knew lots of outdoorsy stuff just so i could work there. i got some heavy duty leather gortex boots for spain. they're sexy. well, not really, but i'll keep telling myself that so i'll get used to them. we're going to get a pack and sleeping bag over christmas break. i have to break in my boots.

going to see harry potter today! i can't wait! it's great because when you go with your parents, they'll buy a family-sized bucket of popcorn. sweet. till then, i gotta work on my education research project, which i'm actually finding interesting.

November 21, 2002

i am so thankful that God has put some great friends in my life, and i keep meeting new ones all the time. tonight was great times. i love being with those people (you know who you are). you make me happy.

i'm really looking forward to going home this weekend. i need to talk to my mom about lots of things, and i haven't had the chance to in a while. i'm thankful that God has given me such a wonderful relationship with my parents. God has just blessed me so much, and it puts butterflies in my stomach and makes me want to smile all the time.

luke...i hope you figure out whatever it is you need to figure out about how you're feeling. i'll pray for you.

luke and jesse: thanks for being such great guys.

November 20, 2002

i was reading sb's blog (about the survey), and i remembered this board game that jennifer (my buddy in florida) and i used to play all the time at her house. remember the game "inventors" (i think that's what it was)? it was really old. there were different cards with stupid inventions on them, and you had to get patents for them, or the other peron could take them, or something. we used to love that game.

November 19, 2002

i'm sorry, jesse...i'm a terrible friend. consider yourself now linked.
luke, i'm disturbed that you did not enjoy the meteor shower. why, the mere fact that you were with me (and jesse, of course) should have been excitement enough for you. but the fact that you also were blessed enough to witness one of the miraculous sights of God's universe...i rest my case. although, i must admit, i might have enjoyed it more because i had the better part of the body heat. oh well, maybe better next year, right?

i should be sleeping right now, taking a much-deserved nap, but i feel like i should be doing something (that something being reading my education book). but, instead, i'm blogging and listening to tori amos.

and sarabeth...you rock my socks off! i love you, and i'm so glad you're my wild and crazy friend!
it is quite a fandango that luke has no mango for me to tengo. jesse, if you dare, please don't swear, i'm quite austere. (gotta hold it down for the 803.)

the concert saturday was slammin, even with all of the middle schoolers swarming about. for once in my life, i felt cool, then i realized that i wasn't because i was surrounded by middle schoolers. my coolness was cancelled out. dang it. well, the concert was fun just the same. and i could identify nearly all of the pre-show songs.

my boys have a gig saturday, i'm so proud. i only wish i could be there, because i would pay much more than $5 for a show from my boys. much more. but i'll be having tons of fun too because i'll be home, watching harry potter with my mom. trust me, though, those boys can write some great songs. if you don't believe me, go see them in seneca saturday night (ask them for the deets. yes, i said "deets." it's because i think i'm cool.)

by the way, lukie, you need to put those other pics on your album.

right, so i'm off to read.
