i saw the return of the king with josh foust on wednesday morning, and it actually wasn't too crowded. guess the lotr freaks don't get up that early, they must've gone to the midnight showing the night before. anyhoo, it was a great movie. 3.5 hours long, but i didn't even notice how long we were in there. it was awesome.

wednesday night was the magsix christmas party up in rock hill. everyone got some sweet gifts, and it was good times. the meal was great, and we played games till quite late. and we had a spanish dance party to "rojo relativo" because steph bought the cd for me. there wasn't too much drama, and everyone got along.

thursday night i saw the last samurai with dad, and we both loved it. imagine braveheart set in japan. it had that feel to it. you know, fighting against rightful authority for what you feel, and probably is right.

yesterday i shopped with dad from 9am till 3pm. ridiculous. we checked out some slr cameras, which are a bit more expensive than i had thought. but i think i'm getting a very sweet one. and dad bought lots of gifts. i was exhausted afterward and, for that reason, stayed in that night and watched catch me if you can. i got my grades yesterday and was pleasantly surprised.

i haven't done much yet today. oh, i might have a job opportunity for this summer. my mom talked to someone who knows of lawyers who need translators for their hispanic clients, and they said they'll probably need people. i don't know anything else about the job, but i've gotta get a resume written before i leave for spain.

ok, time to be productive.

the acoustic jump show last night was fabulous. the best so far. we got there so early and sat in the front row. right in front of jay and matt. best seats in the house. they played "midnight" with the whole band, which i'd never seen before, as well as the first jump song ever which was a beautiful celtic instrumental called "the dream" but in gaelic. so that made up for them not playing "mother's eyes", my favorite. and they're recording soon, so a new record's on the way.

today the plan is to go shopping with anita. yay! and then tonight the girls are coming to my house at 7:30 so we can head out to the poetry reading downtown. super sweet.

tomorrow morning at 7am i might go to see return of the king. they're showing it at columbiana grande for free if you bring a toy to donate.

ok, gotta get ready to see that fine woman anita.
